Parkinson's affects everyone differently, but consistency helps almost everyone living with it - the same carer, the same routines, and a familiar home environment can make a real difference to confidence and symptom management. Our Parkinson's care service provides a dedicated live-in carer who gets to know the person, not just the condition.
We're an introductory home care agency, not a registered clinical provider, so our carers don't prescribe treatment or deliver therapy themselves. What they do provide is patient, hands-on daily support - and we liaise closely with GPs, neurologists and Parkinson's nurse specialists who lead the clinical side of care.

For people with Parkinson's, taking levodopa and other medications at exactly the right time is essential - even a short delay can mean increased stiffness, tremor, freezing or difficulty swallowing. A live-in carer is there around the clock to make sure doses are prompted on time, including early-morning and late-evening doses that are easily missed with visiting care.
Your carer will also learn how your symptoms change through the day, so they can plan showers, meals, exercise and outings for the times when you're at your best.
Freezing, shuffling and poor balance make falls a real risk with Parkinson's. Carers support safe walking, help with cueing techniques recommended by your physiotherapist, keep the home free of trip hazards and help with transfers in and out of chairs, beds and the bath. They'll also encourage the regular exercise that helps many people with Parkinson's stay mobile for longer.
We work alongside your neurologist, Parkinson's nurse specialist, physiotherapist and speech and language therapist, and can point families towards support from Parkinson's UK and local groups across London.
